Meet Zeus & hercules.
Zeus & Hercules
Zeus & Hercules are Maura’s dogs.
Zeus is a loveable senior 'supermutt' who we think has a sprinkling of Lab, Great Pyrenees, Chow Chow, and Australian Cattle Dog. In his younger days he was a spry little Texas rescue success story who loved hiking and terrorizing squirrels and cats. Now in his golden years, he says the couch potato life is more his speed but his little brother does his best to keep him active. Zeus has been told that he is 'the most relatable dog ever' due to his aggressive side eye and expressive face. He still enjoys some of his old hobbies like howling along with fire trucks and a relaxing swim (or at least a wade).
Hercules is Zeus's younger companion and mythological legacy. As a mix of Great Pyrenees and Bernese Mountain Dog, he may look large but is still one giant puppy. When he's not working on his manners you can find him people watching from the window, bothering Zeus for more playtime, or cuddling up to any human available to him (hasn't quite sunk in that he isn't a lap dog). Hercules has yet to meet a human or dog that he hasn't tried to befriend, but seems to have a vendetta against birds and loves to challenge reality by occasionally trying to catch them out of the sky. Maybe he is just trying to find his Pegasus!
